Setting Up Interview(task 2)
How to Set up a Interview?
Step by step
Step by step
- Get to the interview a bit earlier so you can plan
- What area you are going to film the interview
- Set the camera up
- Check if the camera is in a good position and check the sound as well
- When the person who you are interview turns up
- Make them feel comfortable e.g talk for 2min
- Then explain how the interview is going to run and what kind of question coming up
- Then start recording the interview make sure you keep eye contact
- And you know that the camera is fine because you set it up earlier but sometimes glance to see its going alright
- Then after saying all the questions film some cuts e.g them doing something
This is the 180 degree rule
Eye contact
Website Review
This is the link to The Word Website.
https://kianbwkc.wixsite.com/theword
This is the first thing you would see, when opening the Website is this layout with some revive zoom on the title. As well as we have in the top left, The word logo, what I made. In the menu bar we have Home, Cast, Who inspired us?, the synopsis and the behind the scene what still need adding the pictures for.
Then we Have are social media links for FaceBook, Instagram, twitter and they are all linked to the pages. Then we have who is staring in the film, so are names.
Then when you scroll down on the Website, you would come to some interaction. Where you click on a character and you get to see what each character path going to be like.
Why we choose the yellow and black colour sceme was because yellow is a happy bright colour meaning funny and happy and Black is dark glomy colour for horror.

Soundtrack: Dialogue - SFX - Music
Soundtrack: Dialogue - SFX - Music
Intro – quote by George Lucas - The sound and music are 50% of the
entertainment in a movie.
For example if you take the sound out of
horror movie there would be not movie because there’s no build up.
Peaky Blinders - Mafia
shooting Scene
Peaky Blinders is a
criminal gang who lives in Birmingham, set after the Great War.
The scene is set in
the countryside where they are at a house with lots of field around them and
greenery.
Music
As Michael is walking
up to John’s house, there is music playing in the background to creative
intensity that he’s going there for an important reason. Michael was walking to
the front door but John though it was A Italian so he stopped him with his gun and
the music dips down when you see john. Then there’s some dialogue with some
quite but quick guitar strumming and light tapping on a drum. The music behind
the moving image has the genre of Indie rock. The music is overt; you hear by
the way it stands out. The genre of modern Indie rock set in the olden times in
Birmingham, it doesn’t fit with the year, but I work well.
Dialogue
Then there’s some
dialogue with some quite but quick guitar strumming and light tapping on a drum
this means there going to be an accident coming up. The pitch went they are
speaking is very fast because they are acting from Birmingham and they speak
very fast. There’s different Birmingham
accent in this because there’s the normal and there’s gypsies. And went they
was arguing the volume of their voices got loader and faster. Then when the
women started speaking about what they have achieved, she started saying very
quietly then went loader, This shows that she’s annoyed.
SFX
There is a sound for when we cocks a gun because he
thought it was a baddy, then she uncocks the gun. Then volume on this is loud
but not over loud that is ruins the scene. At the end of the scene there is lots of gun
shot sound effect but there is multiple gunshots but they do not over lap, just
constantly shooting. When John is getting shot you hear the bulls going into
his body, sounds like a bursting sound, why this is happing the gun sound get
low and echo’s.
Batman – Dark Knight
Batman is trying to help Jim Gordon and Harvey
Dent, to fight the crime and keep it back to order in Gotham City. With the
Joker trying to make everything go to wrong.
The Scene is set in a abounded building with police
going into the build to help get out the civilians, why Batman fights the
Joker.
Music
There is a high overt at the begging of the scene,
into a subtle because there was some dialogue then the joke, let the dogs on
Batman. As well as they’re a ticking sound playing in the background because
there’s going to be a boob going off. After the dog-jumped Batman a fast tempo
orchestral score begins to play quite quietly, so it doesn’t take away from the
action on screen. We the Joker has Batman pined now there is a load overt of a
trumpet squealing a high pitch note, to creative tension for the audience.
Dialogue
When Batman turns up, the Joker did not t feel
surprised, as he knew he would turn up, the Joker said “ Ahh you made it, I’m
thrilled ”, although he tried to act surprised to Batman with his tone of
voice. But he’s sad that he made it this far. Then Batman says, “Where’s the
detonator” then the Joker gave him a look as what detonator, then he put the
dogs on him. There’s not much dialogue in this scene because they are fighting
most of the scene; but towards the end of the action, there is some dialogue because
the Joker has Batman pined down and scarring him saying “ we going to miss the
fireworks” meaning a boob going to go off. The it cuts to the detonator with
the man holing it look very sweaty because he has a lot of power at that point.
STF
There was a big bog bark indicating that there’s
someone there, the also reflect the Joker character and his attitude to
everything. Furthermore there are a lot of ambient sounds that go on in this
scene, for example the helicopter is flying over in the background with the
entire nose what a helicopter would have. The lag of music brings the imports
of sound effect to the front; this set the mood into to dark and aggressive
feeling. At the same time after speaking to Batman he releases the dogs on him
and u know this by the aggressive barking and you hear a tick sound as like the
chain has just came off.

What I DID in the LESSON
Thursday, 25 January 2018
Task 3
Task 3
I found from task one, most of the research what I gathered
was contrasting. In told I got six responses and for the first question, what
asked. What social media do you use the most? 50 per-sent said SnapChat and
that was two people. Then another 50 per-sent said Facebook and that was
addition two more people said that as the exact same for Instagram. Then one
person said that the most use Twitter and that were 25 per-sent.
The question two was. What social media has the moat
interaction with your friends and 50 per-sent said that Instagram was the but
then 25 per-sent said that Facebook was the best and then 25 per-sent SnapChat.
No one said that Twitter or Pinterest was the best.
For the third question you had to answer. What’s a
disadvantage with interaction in social media? And this was a open question so
the consumer would have to write something down, so there was multiple
responses. One person said that you don’t get fresh air to go and meet your
mates, because you can already contact them on social media. Furthermore some said that you can just get
people annoying you on social media and it depends on how many social media
accounts you have, but it could be on all of them. But one person said, “
Although you are typing to people it doesn’t seem real communications as you
have to wait for replies” and you wouldn’t get that if you was speaking to face
to face. However someone brought up, I think the biggest problem, cycler
bullying and also that people will be anti social in real life. And why cycler
bullying is so bad because only that person will know what’s happing because
its going directly to them, so no one can see it happing. Inclusion one-person thinks there is not bad
things about social media even thought noting is perfect., lastly someone don’t
have social media so they put n/a.
For the final question I put. What’s advantage with
interaction in social media?
And I’m going to open with the best advantage with social
media, that’s you get to talk to people far away like someone in England and
the other person in Australia, also another person brought that up as well as
saying it’s entertaining. Then the classic talking to friends. But one person
said “ as well as building your personality, you have to promote yourself as a
media professional. Again someone doesn’t have social media.
Moving on, I have done research to fine out what film movies
often use to promo their movie. Twitter was the most social media site, what
film production uses because the lay out is easy to use (up-down + search) so
people can easy fine it. But most common social media site what films use is
Facebook and Twitter are the biggest media site out there. As well not all movies has an official
website but on some movies in unnecessary as a kid isn’t going to be going
online much.

Researching TV Productions
Location of production
The location was set inside a British GQ studio, most likely in UK. The studio is a really clean, simple environment. Easy to control lighting and there's nothing to distract from them speaking.
Colour and set layout
The studio was layout very simple, it had a white background with a plain grey sofa. This gives the effect of the simple look.

Camera White Balance
White balance meaning correcting the background to the correct white. It is a function which gives the camera a reference to "true white" so the camera tells itself what the colour white looks like, so the camera can recorded it correctly.

Meet The Fockers: AirPort Scene
Meet The Fockers: AirPort Scene
The scene what I have chosen is from the movie Meet The Fockers starring Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Robert De Niro as the main actors. The movie about Jack and Dina Byrnes played by Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner going to meet Greg Focker parents played by Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman, to see if Grey is the one of their child.
The scene what I have picked from the movie is when Greg Focker and Pam Byrnes going on there the way to the airport to fly away. The music in the background tells us that this is happy and uplifting because the tempo of the song is light, as well as the chorus says” We going to get married” and normally when you are going to get married to someone your very happy. The instrument’s what’s playing in the song is a drum playing lightly, saxophone and a guitar-strumming lightly as well to keep the tempo light.
Also, they have tried so hard to make sure the scene is ambient so for example when Greg and Pam are leaving to go to the airport they have added in that other people will be getting taxis, cars driving, people walking everywhere and loads of noises because New York is a busy city fall of people. But this doesn’t mean that they have to focus on all the noises, they focus on the speaking of Greg and Pam talking to the guy who just gives his taxi to them, with all the noises around them in the background. Went they are in the taxi Greg says “ nice guy” and Pam says “yeah” then the lights all change to green with a dinging sound for an instrument. And so far for them everything is just going easy for them, because they on their way to going and get married. Then when they get to the airport they have done the same thing as what they did when Greg and Pam was leaving their apartment, they have add ambient at the airport because you see when they turn up at the airport there are lots of cars parked outside, especially because it’s in the middle of the day so more people would be there. Also you hear announcements of informant being said on the microphone to the passengers warning them something. As well has see Greg and Pam waiting in a large queue, what you normally have at airports. But Greg and Pam get more luck because the got to be the first people on the other security check and also this time Grey bag got throw unlike the first movie. Also you hear more announcement being said when they are booking their flight. As well as get more luck due to the fly was overbooked so they got first class.
Furthermore, the dialogue was done so if someone is speaking the music would be lowed however continues in the background, yet no singing just instruments playing. Again when Greg and Pam got into the taxi and all the lights go green the music gets raised up and repeats” we are going to get married” to reminds us again what they are doing. Then they get to the airport the course finishes, the security guard says, “ You two, you’re up”, with all the music lowed as soon as he speaks. Then Meet The Fockers title comes up on the screen underlined. Then the music goes back up and the singer sings until the end of his line then a long saxophone sound plays, at that point the music gets lowed because the women at the checking start to speak. Also, they raised the sound of the keyboard when she’s typing. This is for a joke because they say normally when people behind the desk they are always typing.
Finely there’s lots of sound effect added to this clip. For example a car brake squeals when Grey and Pam are waiting for a taxi. Again when all the light change green the sound effect of a dinging sound plays on each light changes to green. When they turn up at the airport you hear cars driving slowly past then it cut to the security check and you hear a light sound of a whistle. Soon after with the sound of the security guard pulling open barrier followed up the sound of the luggage being slammed on to the mental desk, shortly after with a pushing sound. Plus the sound of the keyboards most likely to be a sound effect as because it was so load. Additionally the sound when the woman goes to past the boarding past over with a flick sounds of paper.

Photographic
Photographic
I think the photograph would help in the media industry because if you need to take pictures of locations of where you want to film you would have to have basic photograph skills and I learn them in class. For example we were learning about shutter speed, aperture and the camera focus.
This picture only focusing on the flower and only Where this picture is showing everything in focus
that because the background is out of focus. even the background because you can see it clearly.
We also learn how a camera works. The light shines down the lens hits the mirror bounces up to the prism the bounces to another mirror then int the viewfinder.

Foley - Stuart
The task what we got set was to make sound for the clip
Psycho shower scene, because we got shown then scene with no sound on. So our
task was to go and make the sounds effect for the different objects that were
using through out the scene, this is called Foley.
The first thing before we went off and started to record,
was to make sure we have a cue sheet to help us organize the sound what we
would be create so its easier for when we go to edit them. We recorded all the
sound on a mic that was easy to plug into the MacBooks.
The kindled of sound what we were making like a stabbing
sound a shower being turned on, water dripping, pull hole draining, keratin
being pulled open and shut and as well screaming like a women. How we recorded the stabbing sound was by
using a peace of a vegetable and chopping it very slowly. How we make the sound
of the shower tap turning on was but using a sink tap. Then for the shower
noise we used rice pouring on a bowl so you have the sound of rice hitting
against the bowl as well as for the noise of the shower we used water getting
ported into a bucket.
For when we were recording all this sound effects we had to
make sure that we had no one near us make load noises otherwise the mic would
be picking up that sound even though ours self may not be able to hear the
noises.
